Debit Card PIN Instructions

Congratulations on your new Mercantile Bank MasterMoney™ Debit or ATM Card. Thank you for choosing Mercantile Bank for your convenience banking needs. If you have recently received a new MasterMoney or ATM card(s) in the mail, follow the instructions below regarding your personal identification number (PIN).

New Cards

If you are a new MasterMoney or ATM cardholder, or have placed an order for a new card account number, you will automatically receive you new PIN in a separate mailer 2-3 days following the receipt of your cards. These are mailed separately for your protection. 

Once you receive this PIN, simply visit any ATM to activate your replacement card by making a cash withdrawal. You may also call or stop by any branch location for assistance with card activation. Please note: You must complete this activation prior to using your card for point-of-sale purchases.

Look for ATMs that are part of the Cirrus/Shazam network to get fast, easy access to cash. In addition, as a MasterMoney Debit cardholder, you may also use your card anywhere Debit MasterCard is accepted.

If you would like to select a custom PIN, please contact us to request an Easy PIN Reference Number and follow the Easy PIN instructions below.

Renewal or Replacement Cards

If you are a current MasterMoney or ATM cardholder and have just received a renewal or replacement card because your card expired, was worn or damaged, you will NOT automatically receive a new PIN. 

Your current PIN may or may not work depending on how your old card was programmed. 

If you have previously followed the Easy PIN process (below), you replacement cards will work with your current PIN. Simply visit any ATM to activate your replacement card by making a cash withdrawal with your current PIN. You may also call or stop by any branch location for assistance with card activation. Please note: You must complete this activation prior to using your card for point-of-sale purchases.

If you have not yet completed the Easy PIN process, or do not remember your current PIN, please contact us to request an Easy PIN Reference Number and follow the Easy PIN instructions below.

Easy PIN Instructions

Selecting a new or custom PIN is fast and safe with Shazam Easy PIN. To get started, you must first visit the bank to request an Easy PIN Reference Number. For your protection, we will need to verify your identity at the time of the request, and you will receive your reference code in a matter of minutes. 

Your Easy PIN reference number will expire, so please follow the instructions below before the expiration date provided with your reference number.

Once you have received your authorized reference number, please follow the steps below to select your 4-digit PIN:

Please take a moment to choose a PIN you will not forget.  Make sure the PIN you select is not information that could be readily found in your wallet or purse such as your house number, date of birth, or any part of your card account number.

Please have your card and your Easy PIN Reference Number readily available.

Call the Shazam Easy PIN hotline, toll-free at (866) 590-4793

Follow the voice prompts to enter the required information using your telephone keypad. After completing the phone call, your new PIN is ready to use.

To begin using your card, visit any ATM to activate your replacement card with your new PIN. You may also call or stop by any branch location for assistance with card activation.  Please note: You must complete this activation prior to using your card for point-of-sale purchases.
